American Abstraction
The Alan Cristea Gallery is holding an exhibition of works by a selection of leading US artists.
Featuring over 40 pieces, the exhibition will survey a wide range of different approaches to abstraction. From the seminal colour theory works of Josef and Anni Albers, through to new works by Sol Le Witt, the show will chart the progress of abstraction through the twentieth century.
It will include well-known images by some of the most famous practitioners. These include the abstract expressionists Robert Motherwell and Sam Francis, early concentric squares by Frank Stella, recent pieces by Terry Winters and Robert Mangold and new works by Richard Serra.
