Lisa Milroy
The Alan Cristea Gallery will be holding Lisa Milroy's first exhibition of paintings since her survey at Tate Liverpool in 2001. This retrospective, entitled Painting Fast Painting Slow, will include examples of her work from 1992 to 2005, offering an opportunity to see a wide range of work, covering numerous subjects.
Lisa Milroy's paintings are characterised by her remarkable skill and ability to engage with her subject, and to question how objects, thoughts, actions, people and places can be represented in paint.
The exhibition will be accompanied by a fully illustrated fifty page catalogue, including an interview between the artist and Lewis Biggs, the Director of the Liverpool Biennale.
