Julian Opie: Sprinters., 2024

For Sprinters., 2024, Julian Opie returns to the motif of the Olympic sprinter, drawing the viewer’s attention to the illusory depth between the runners. Opie expresses the unique gait and pace of each individual, evoking the thrill, tension and momentum of racing.

There are six lenticulars in the series, each in an edition of thirty. The lenticular is mounted onto a thick white acrylic base which can be fixed directly to the wall without the need for a frame.
