Listening Event and Vinyl Launch with Peter Adjaye and Yinka Ilori 6pm, Friday 3 July
This special event will transform the gallery and Yinka Ilori’s exhibition into a listening space; a site of music, storytelling and communal gathering.
Conceptual sound artist, composer and musician Peter Adjaye has created one of two soundscapes for the exhibition. He will present his work, and a second sound piece by composer James William Blades. Accompanied by a conversation between Adjaye and Ilori, this live listening session will also feature music and sounds from Adjaye’s personal vinyl collection, curated in response to the exhibition. The exhibition will open from 6pm and the event will begin at 6.30pm.
A 12” vinyl of the commissioned soundscapes will be launched at this event. The vinyl will be available to purchase in person only on the evening.
Tickets are £5 and are available to purchase online only, via Eventbrite (sold out)
