Cristea Roberts Gallery is delighted to launch Paradise for All, a series of six new screenprints by Yinka Ilori inspired by themes of spirituality and community.
Yinka Ilori’s images are characterised by a use of bold, vivid colours and strong geometrical forms, a visual language which draws on both his British Nigerian heritage and the history of geometric abstraction and pop culture.
Each work in the series is in an edition of 30 and printed with multiple layers of thick, enamel-based ink which gives them a distinctive physical surface and rich, luminous colour range. Dynamic forms merge and interlock with each other, whilst colours flow to the surface edge.
The Paradise for All prints are available to buy either individually or as a complete set of six.

Paradise for All, 2024
A series of six screenprints in enamel ink on Somerset Tub Sized Satin 610gsm paper Paper and Image, each: 75.0 x 75.0 cm - 29 1/2 x 29 1/2 in Edition of 30
Paradise for All explores the universally recognised symbol of the flower. In using this particular subject, Ilori acknowledges the paradoxical visual and social function of flowers - in art history they have been both decorative motifs and representative signs of impermanence, used to symbolise the brevity of life; in society they are presented as gifts at times of both immense joy and sadness.

The painters of the Dutch Golden Age used flowers as symbols of immense wealth and social status, and in the twentieth century artists including Warhol and Koons have used them as symbols of mass consumerism and banality. In Paradise for All Ilori brings his own distinctive palette and iconography to this rich history.
